Its hard to believe that about a year ago I was photographing this sweet little girl as a newborn! She was such a doll baby…so alert, stubborn and curious about everything going on that day. What a joy it was to see her again for her one year session. So full of smiles and tiny giggles. They really do grow so very fast! Happy Birthday sweet little one! May your days be filled with happiness and laughter, your heart filled with kindness and your life filled with love.

I recently had the honor of photographing one of my dearest friends, her darling daughter and her sweet family. I love that they all got together to create an image of their family as they are today. Surely there are albums and picture frames full of images of Mom, Dad, Sister and Brother as they grew through the years. A sweet family of four…and now look at them- wives, husbands, grand children. Its an amazing thing how the love between two creates a far reaching branch of a single family tree…a branch that will, with much love and tending, continue to grow and flourish as the years go by.

A One-year-old child is so many things –
A tiny discoverer of butterfly wings,
A hugger of Teddies,
A sweet sleepyhead,
And someone to dream for in bright years ahead…
Happy Birthday Sweet Little One!

My little guy is getting so big. I still see him as my sweet little baby with way too much hair and chubby little legs. I guess in my eyes he will always be some version of that…when in fact he has come so far. He’s a lean little guy who likes to keep his hair short like daddy’s. Hes such a funny person and hes got energy times 1000. Hes always on the move…jumping, running, laughing and talking in a voice that is much too loud. He tries so hard to “be good”, but sometimes he just cant help himself. He can be impulsive, stubborn and wild…but hes also the one of my three children who is most likely to say “I love you” first. Despite his “all boy” exterior, hes a sensitive soul. His feelings are easily hurt and he’s often on the defensive with two sisters as “the boss of him”. Heres hoping that his struggles lead to inner strength and that his kind heart is protected. We butt heads sometimes, because I can be just as stubborn as you, but I love you little guy. I love you to the moon and back.

Ive been really slacking on the blog, but had to take a minute to post some images from my latest product shoot for Ribbons and Curls Bowtique. I absolutely love everything she sent! So many pretty little things!
Camryn is wearing the Chloe Headband in Lime Green and Black…a single dainty little felt flower on a lightweight wire band. Colors can be customized.

Aislyn is wearing the Clary Headband in Coral and Turquoise…TWO little felt flowers on a lightweight wire band. Colors can be customized.

Nicole is wearing the Claudia Headband in Pink, Purple and Blue…THREE little flowers all in a row on a lightweight wire band. Mix and match colors can be customized.

Pink Kufi hat with white flower accent. Pretty sequin detail in the flower’s center.

Little Blue Flower Hairpin. Perfect for adding a little touch of pretty!

Hydrangea Headband. Delicate and sweet. Adds the sweetest touch of color to neutrals.

Addison in the Cupcake Bottlecap Clippie and Bella headband. Love this sweet little clippie and the Bella headband is so pretty on both babies and big girls. See Bella featured on a past blog post: http://www.cathynoblephotography.com/blog/sneaky-peeky-ribbons-and-curls-bowtique/

Last week I received another box from Ribbons and Curls Bowtique. WOW! Everything was just darling and I couldn’t wait to photograph it! However, the weather had different plans and I didnt get much shooting done until today. My sister was in town and I thought hey… the by-line for Ribbons and Curls Bowtique is “Handmade Accessories for all Ages”. So I decided to snap a few of my 17 year old sister in these gorgeous hair accessories! I hope you like them Jennifer! Im running a little behind, thanks to the rain, but I should have a full set of images to you soon! This set of accessories was sooo much fun and the girls loved them!
Nicole is wearing the turquoise and raspberry “Bella” headband with feather accent….how great are these colors!

A couple of months ago I found this fabric that was pre-smocked. I bought a couple of yards and its been folded neatly in a desk drawer until I decided what I wanted to do with it. Well, today I got in the mood to sew so out came the fabric. I made two little rompers for Aislyn. I didnt have a pattern so the first one was an “experiment” in making the pants part of the romper and the second one, I learned from my mistakes and cut a more proper pant…heehee! I feel so accomplished when I get to see something I made actually function the way it was intended to!

Summer in Texas…need I say more!
We found a spot in the porch shade for this little guy and his mommy to play. They made bubbles, played with stickers, sang songs and enjoyed each other’s laughter and playfulness for as long as the summer heat would allow… the temperature at 9 am was already reading a scorching 97 degrees. I would have loved to spend more time with this gorgeous family. They are so sweet and playful with each other. However the heat and humidity told us it was time to go home.
I hope you enjoy those moments captured in our short time together this morning!
